Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is hiring Plastic Machine Operators for a local manufacturing company in Horicon, WI. Starting pay is $20/hr+ based on experience, with 2nd and 3rd shifts offering premium pay of $2.50/hr and $5.00/hr respectively.

The role includes opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package after permanent hire. Responsibilities include operating rotational molding machines, assembling and dismantling production molds, removing parts, and monitoring temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation a plus.
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements accurately.

Responsibilities

• Run rotational molding machines to meet plant metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale.
• Collaborate with your team to assemble and dismantle production molds.
• Remove molded parts from molds, monitor temperatures, and perform mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging.
• Use feedback from Trimmers to drive process improvements, reduce scrap, and improve overall productivity.
• Document actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs in production/quality logs across shifts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean, orderly workspace.

What You'll Do

• Run rotational molding machines to meet or exceed plant metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale.
• Work collaboratively with your team to assemble and dismantle production molds.
• Remove molded parts from molds, monitor part temperatures, and perform mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging.
• Use feedback from Trimmers to drive process improvements, reduce scrap, and improve overall productivity.
• Maintain continuity across shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs in production/quality logs.
• Adhere to safety procedures, company 6S requirements, and keep a clean, orderly workspace.

What You Bring to the Role

• Ability to perform simple math and measurements accurately.
• High attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and multitasking skills.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
• Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
