Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking an experienced machine operator to run and maintain plastic extrusion equipment on the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2pm–10pm). Starting pay is $23/hour with a $0.50 shift differential for the shift.

You will read specs, set up machinery, adjust processes to meet product specs, operate auxiliary equipment, and ensure safety and proper production postings. This role requires 1–2 years in manufacturing and comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with plastics, extrusion or molding preferred.
• Ability to read specs on computer or paper.
• Ability to measure product attributes as per specs.
• Team-oriented with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows Manufacturing Specification to determine machine setup, materials, and quantity to run.
• Analyzes product attributes and adjusts processes to bring product to spec.
• Sets up and runs auxiliary equipment as required.
• Maintains safety of self and others in the work area.
• Completes paperwork and production postings accurately.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
