Job summary

Prism Plastics, Inc. part of Marmon Holdings seeks a Plastics Engineer to evaluate feasibility, estimate costs, and create proposals for injection molds and production tooling.

You will lead engineering reviews, prepare layouts, and coordinate with tooling suppliers and raw material partners to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions. The role requires CAD, Moldflow, IQMS experience, and strong reading of blueprints and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and GD&T to ensure manufacturability.
• Experience estimating costs for molds, tooling, prototypes and changes.
• Ability to coordinate with tooling suppliers and raw material partners.

Responsibilities

• Estimate project costs and timing for molds, prototypes, and tool refurbishments.
• Review designs for manufacturability and propose improvements.
• Identify manufacturing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Create mold layouts and perform mold flow simulations for timing.
• Lead customer feasibility reviews and quote tooling work.
• Work with IQMS and external tooling sources to obtain quotes.
