DIRECT HIRE, Plastics Engineer job in Wilmington, MA

Onsite -full time

Signing Bonus

Rate Range: $100k/yr to $110K/yr ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Akkodis is seeking to fill a DIRECT HIRE, Plastics Engineer in Wilmington, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Process Design and Optimization:

Develops and implements manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, and other plastic processing techniques.

• Quality Assurance:

Ensures that plastic products meet industry standards and specifications through testing and quality control procedures.

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Diagnoses and resolves issues in the production process, such as defects or inconsistencies.

• Research and Development:

Investigates and develops new plastics materials and production processes, potentially focusing on sustainable or biodegradable options.

• Regulatory Compliance:

Ensures that all products and processes adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.

• Documentation and Reporting:

Maintains records of design specifications, testing results, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Continuous Improvement:

Identifies and implements improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

• Collaboration:

Works with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to achieve manufacturing goals.

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in plastics engineering, chemical engineering, or material science
• Must have a great skills in reviewing and process actionable documentation
• Laboratory and polymer experience is preferred
• Engagement and collaboration skills
• Excellent documentation
• A plus is polymer experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and people skills
