Step Into a Day You Can ShapePicture this: it’s 5:55 AM and you’re gearing up for a 6:00 AM start. You review the schedule, prep your tools, and roll a precision-cleaned mold into position. By 7:30, a changeover is complete, temperatures are dialed in, parison programming is tuned, and blow pin settings are tight. A small defect appears—thin walls on a run—and you quickly adjust pressure and timing to bring parts back into spec. By afternoon, you’re mentoring a teammate on proper alignment techniques and logging updates in MaintainX before handing off at 6:00 PM with a clean report and a reliable plan for the next crew.Shift: Day shift, 6:00am – 6:00pm.What You’ll HandlePerform mold maintenance: clean, polish, and lubricate molds, pins, locking rings, and cores to eliminate flash, buildup, and debris.Install, align, remove, and change over molds and accessory devices for production.Set up blow molding equipment; adjust temperatures, parison programming, and blow pin settings.Troubleshoot production issues (flash, thin walls, uneven distribution) to reduce quality downtime.Fine-tune machine parameters (pressure, timing) to hit quality targets and production rates.Inspect and weigh finished product using precision measuring tools to verify specifications.Execute minor mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on molds and machinery.Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately.Share technical know-how; train Maintenance and Setup teammates to elevate skills.Partner closely with Maintenance, Production, and Quality to maximize uptime.Ensure a thorough end-of-shift handoff to Production and Scheduling; complete end-of-shift reports.Maintain accurate logs and update equipment records in our CMMS (MaintainX).Support equipment installs, upgrades, and continuous process improvements.Communicate clearly with team members and Operations about issues and solutions.Champion safety by following LOTO, GMP, and PPE policies—and modeling safe behavior. What You Bring3–5+ years in manufacturing with blow molding machinery.Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and hands-on problem solving.Capable of lifting molds and performing physical tasks (bending, twisting, climbing).Skilled with hand tools and mechanical diagnostics.Knowledge of plastics/polymers plus hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Fluency reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Keen eye for quality; able to hold tight, precise settings.Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance scheduling.Proactive, self-directed, and collaborative.Flexibility to work overtime when needed. Why You’ll Love Working HereCompetitive pay with overtime opportunities.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with company match.Paid time off plus 10 paid holidays each year.A supportive team that values craftsmanship and your ideas.“Responsible for food safety, food quality and site safety.”ProficienciesPlastic Extrusion ExperienceTool/Die/Mold Setup ExperienceMachines & Technologies You’ll UseInjection Molding MachineBlow Molding MachineWe are an equal opportunity employer.Ready to Build What’s Next?If you’re energized by precision, uptime, and problem-solving, send us your resume and help us keep production running at its best.
