Job summary

Laborup is hiring Assembly Technicians for a large plastics manufacturer in Morristown, TN. This hands-on role moves components through assembly, finishing, inspection, and packaging, using hand and pneumatic tools and inline equipment.

You’ll perform quality checks, handle materials, and prepare finished products for the next stage. The position offers rotating 12‑hour schedules with day or night options, potential overtime, and direct opportunities for advancement from the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical, hands-on production work during a 12-hour shift.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, lift, and handle materials regularly.
• Comfort using hand tools and production equipment.
• Strong attention to quality and safety; follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Produce components according to work instructions and standards.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and inline equipment to complete tasks.
• Inspect parts and finished products for defects and quality.
• Finish, label, wrap, and package products as required.
• Handle materials and move components throughout the process.
• Monitor production to identify issues that cause downtime or scrap.
• Complete production and quality records accurately.
• Cross-train across multiple assembly stations as needed.
