Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients to determine need for medical attention.
• Review patient records to determine health status.
• Take a patient history.
• Record pertinent patient data.
• Make decisions regarding data gathering and appropriate management and treatments of patients being seen for new or follow-up evaluations.
• Prepare patient summaries.
• Initiate requests for commonly performed initial laboratory and radiological studies.
• Identify normal and abnormal findings in history, physical examination, and labs.
• Provide emergency management for emergencies as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Perform work in accordance with departmental policies and scheduling.
