Geisinger is seeking plastic surgeons to join our team in central or northeastern Pennsylvania. Our services include general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, microsurgical and implant-based breast reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, cancer/trauma reconstruction, and cleft/craniofacial care.
Our integrated plastic surgery residency offers opportunities for teaching, research, and program development. Geisinger has an established reconstructive and cosmetic referral base, supporting a thriving practice. We are supported by an excellent team of physician assistants, nurses, and staff, and collaborate closely with multiple disciplines throughout the system.
For candidates interested in cleft care, there is an opportunity to lead our accredited cleft program. A plastic surgeon specializes in the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures, hands, extremities, breasts, trunk, and external genitalia. They apply aesthetic surgical principles to improve both normal and abnormal structures, utilizing techniques such as grafts, flaps, free-tissue transfer, and replantation. Competence in managing complex wounds, implantable materials, and tumor surgery is required.
