Job description

Position Overview

Seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will specialize in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, offering high-quality patient-centered care. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a cutting-edge medical facility and collaborate with a team of highly trained professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures, including reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.
  2. Conduct patient consultations to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and provide pre/post-operative care.
  3. Ensure patient safety and satisfaction by following best practices and the latest advancements in plastic surgery.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  6. Educate patients on available treatment options, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.
  7. Stay updated on the latest medical technologies, trends, and surgical techniques in plastic surgery.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Licensure: Active Medical License in California.
  2. Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  3. Residency & Fellowship: Completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery Residency Program and, if applicable, a specialized fellowship in a subspecialty such as craniofacial, hand, or aesthetic surgery.
  4. Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
  5. Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of post-residency/fellowship experience preferred.

Preferred Requirements

  1. Advanced Training: Additional certification or fellowship training in specific plastic surgery subspecialties (e.g., microsurgery, aesthetic procedures, craniofacial surgery).
  2. Aesthetic Expertise: Experience in advanced cosmetic procedures such as rhinoplasty, facelift, liposuction, and body contouring.
  3. Bilingual Abilities: Proficiency in languages commonly spoken in the Bay Area, such as Spanish, Mandarin, or Tagalog, is highly desirable.
  4. Research & Publications: A track record of research, publications, or speaking engagements in the field of plastic surgery.

Beneficial but Not Mandatory

  1. Experience with Cutting-Edge Technologies: Proficiency in minimally invasive procedures, robotic surgery, and regenerative medicine techniques.
  2. Leadership & Teaching Experience: Previous leadership roles in academic or clinical settings, mentoring medical students or residents.
  3. Hospital Privileges: Existing or ability to obtain hospital privileges in major Bay Area healthcare institutions.
