Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible by the ABPS.
• Proficiency in microsurgery, including free flap reconstruction (required).
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• DEA registration and ability to obtain hospital privileges.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient‑care skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and teamwork.
• Fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery.
• This is not a J1 or H1B visa sponsorship opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures, including advanced microsurgical techniques.
• Provide consultative services to inpatient and outpatient referrals and manage pre‑ and post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncology, trauma, orthopedics) on patient care and quality initiatives.
• Support departmental committees and quality improvement projects to uphold high patient care standards.

Every day, you will perform a comprehensive range of plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures, including advanced microsurgical free flap reconstruction. You’ll provide essential consultative services to both inpatient and outpatient referrals, meticulously managing pre‑operative and post‑operative care. This role demands collaboration with diverse multidisciplinary teams, including oncology, trauma, and orthopedic surgery, all while contributing to vital quality improvement initiatives and departmental committees, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
