Job summary

Dignity Health in Gold River, CA, is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to join a premier multi-specialty group within the Mercy Medical Group network. The role focuses on comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgeries, including complex microsurgical procedures, with strong collaboration across oncology, trauma, and orthopedics.

MD/DO required with ABPS board status, California license, and fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible by the ABPS.
• Proficiency in microsurgery, including free flap reconstruction — required.
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• DEA registration and ability to obtain hospital privileges.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and team collaboration.
• Fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery.
• This is not a J1 or H1B visa sponsorship opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures, including microsurgical free flap reconstruction.
• Provide consultative services to inpatient and outpatient referrals, managing pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with oncology, trauma, and orthopedic surgery teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental committees.
