Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Ohio/Cleveland is seeking a production operator to set up and run plastic molding equipment, verify material availability, and calibrate settings to meet specifications. You will monitor cycle times, perform routine maintenance, inspect finished parts, track materials, and document results while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

A high school diploma or GED is required; experience with plastics manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Prior experience operating plastic molding machines is preferred.
• Working knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and related equipment is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude with packaging, plastics, and printing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

This position pays between $19.00 - $20.00 an hourStep into a day on our production floorYou arrive for your shift at Pretium Packaging and begin by reviewing the production schedule. You set up plastic molding machines to the required specifications, verify material availability, and calibrate settings for optimal performance. As the line ramps up, you watch cycle times and outputs closely, making fine adjustments so every part meets spec. When a machine hesitates, you troubleshoot quickly, swap a worn component, and log the maintenance. Throughout the shift, you pull samples to inspect dimensions and finish, update inventory counts of raw materials, and alert your supervisor when it’s time to replenish.
