Job summary

JM Eagle in COCHRANTON, PA seeks a laboratory technician to prepare PVC/HDPE compounds and evaluate materials using standard lab equipment. You will produce and test specimens, monitor extrusion trials, and document results for internal and external references.

Responsibilities include following ASTM/NSF/UL protocols, interpreting data, and maintaining accurate records with MS Office tools. A science background is preferred and on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• A high school or college diploma with scientific background or work experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and perform duties after training.
• Intermediate MS Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PVC/HDPE compounds using laboratory mixer and evaluate compounds.
• Produce and test specimens per ASTM/NSF/UL standards.
• Monitor extrusion trials and collect samples for certification or proposals.
• Document laboratory results for supervisors and external agencies.
