Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician

Overview

KB Components Dallas is a plastics injection molding company located in Arlington, Texas. We are part of the KB Components global company based out of Sweden. We are seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician to join our Texas team!

As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines, ensuring the production of high-quality plastic parts.

We currently have availability on 2nd Shift:

• Monday-Thursday 2:15pm to 10:45pm
• Friday 11:45am to 5:45pm

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate injection molding machines, including brands like Milacron, HPM, Mitsubishi, Van Dorn, Nissei, and Engel, to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other technical documents to ensure accurate production.
• Conduct quality inspections of molded parts using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Follow ISO 9001 & 13485 certification requirements and participate in audits to maintain compliance.
• Support PPAP submissions and ensure adherence to related processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with ISO 9001 & 13485 certification and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of the PPAP process; support for PPAP submissions is a plus.
• IATF 16949 experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
