Job summary

Transcendia in Hebron, OH is seeking a full-time machine operator to safely run and troubleshoot plastic film production lines. You will learn the process, operate lines, perform quality tests, and participate in changeovers. Training is provided while you maintain safety and teamwork on the floor.

Shift work is required, with 12-hour rotations, overtime, and call-ins as needed to keep lines running safely and efficiently. Forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and standard software.
• Willingness to work in a team and multi-task as needed.
• Forklift certification must be obtained per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and effective operation of the lines and equipment.
• Safely and reliably operate the production lines.
• Test film quality per testing methods.
• Actively participate in line changeover duties.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer-based issues.
• Cross-train and operate polystyrene, blown film, and converting equipment.
• Maintain safety culture by training and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Assist in keeping a clean and organized workplace.
• Foster teamwork and communicate constructively with coworkers.
• Develop awareness of customer needs and exceed quality expectations.
• Pursue new skills and knowledge with training team.
• Perform other duties as assigned, and obtain forklift certification.
