Job summary

WGNSTAR is seeking a dependable fabrication assistant to join our manufacturing team in Nampa, Idaho. You will assist in the fabrication and assembly of plastic components under supervision, read basic blueprints, and measure materials with a tape measure and basic hand tools.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with pay at $20–$25 DOE per hour. This position offers full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)) plus paid vacation, select holidays, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including safe operation practices.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of plastic components and systems under supervision.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials using a tape measure and basic tools.
  • Perform conversions between fractions and decimals accurately.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools in accordance with company standards.
  • Support fabrication processes while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of fractions and decimals, with the ability to convert between them.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including safe operation practices.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferences:
  • Previous experience in cabinetry, furniture building, carpentry, or finishwork.
  • Flat Plastic Sheet welding fabricator experience.
Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
