Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a Category Lead for Plastic NA based in North America. You will shape category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with global teams to optimize total landed cost and drive cost reductions across the organization.

The role requires extensive experience in automotive purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to lead in a matrix environment. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Purchasing, SCM, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in automotive manufacturing with category leadership experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a large matrix organization.
• Proven success with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in automotive.
• Strong cost reduction, negotiating and strategic sourcing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute category strategies and supplier relations.
• Lead RFI/RFQ processes and negotiate pricing.
• Develop and present total landed cost analyses to council.
• Collaborate with global divisions to meet cost reduction targets.
• Monitor category performance and financial reporting monthly/quarterly.
