Job summary

NXG Truck Bodies in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking a skilled Plasma Table Operator to cut precision parts from steel sheets for use in our truck bodies. This role requires attention to detail, CNC equipment knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality components.

You will set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment, load sheet metal safely, inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, and collaborate with the fabrication team to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC plasma cutting machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and cut lists.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Physical ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
• Load and unload sheet metal onto the cutting table safely and efficiently.
• Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, clean edges, and minimal waste.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and quality after cutting.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of the plasma table.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure production goals are met.
• Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
