Job summary

Williams International in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Plasma/Flame Spray Technician for 1st Shift roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and inspecting Flame Spray/Plasma Spray processes, maintaining documentation, and ensuring production standards are met.

Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Plasma/Flame Spray Technician to join our team on 1st Shift in 8546 Multi Stage IP Rotor.

Special Process Technician will be responsible for the operation, inspection, and assistance in Flame Spray/Plasma Spray and ensure that parts are manufactured according to manufacturing standards and specifications. All Cell Specialists are also responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials and parts through the assigned cell.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and inspect all types of processes, including assisting in Flame Spray/Plasma Spray
  • Manufacture and/or test parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to meet engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements
  • Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and keep accurate records
  • Communicate shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate information and documentation
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated
  • Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards
Qualifications
  • High School or GED with a minimum of six months experience in Flame Spray/Plasma Spray
  • Effective interaction with team members, customers, and all levels of management
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret basic blueprint drawings
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist (use lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
  • Physically capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
  • Grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed, and be eligible for access to classified information
