Job description

Plasma / Oxyfuel Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Location: Houston, TX 77039

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Job Description

Client requires an experienced Plasma/OxyFuel operator to run a 10' by 40' table with 4 oxyfuel torches and 1x 400 HPRD XD plasma torch. The controller is Hypertherm HedgePro. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience operating this type of machine and controller.

Responsibilities

1. Operate the machine safely and accurately to cut steel according to shop orders.
2. Load and unload materials onto and off the table, and document inventory used for tracking purposes.
3. Read shop orders and drawings; possess basic math skills and the ability to read measurements.
4. Work independently and as part of a team within the shop environment.
5. Bilingual skills are preferred.

Requirements

1. At least 2 years of experience operating plasma/Oxyfuel machines with Hypertherm HedgePro controllers.
2. Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory.
3. Dependability and punctuality are essential.
