Job summary

CSL is seeking qualified medical professionals in Laredo, Texas to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency care to donors and staff. The role includes interviewing donors, reviewing medical histories, and determining continued donor eligibility.

Qualified candidates will assess heart/lung function, respond to medical questions with the Center Medical Director, and escalate critical cases following SOPs.

Qualifications

• Interviews donors and performs medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• Ability to make and analyze physical assessments (heart/lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.).
• Responds to medically related questions and provides information to staff on donor suitability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• Assess donor symptoms and determine continued donor suitability.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer for follow-up.
