Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a $7,500 sign-on bonus eligible. The role supports plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) under Center Manager supervision, ensuring safe donor screening and eligibility for donation.

The position emphasizes patient care in a fast-paced plasma center, with opportunities to advance to management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program and state requirements.
Current RN/NP/PA license or certification in the responsible state.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
Complete BioLife Medical Support Specialist FDA training requirements.
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam, and SPE review.
Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and Center Physician orders.
Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
