BioLife Plasma Services in the United States (Indiana) is hiring a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to screen and advise donors, ensuring they are healthy to donate plasma. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available, with a competitive hourly wage and strong benefits.

The role includes determining donor eligibility, managing donor safety, and supporting vaccination programs, under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent with a state-recognized nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN/NP/PA.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility; oversee informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of SPE.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies including standing orders and donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and determine if further evaluation is needed.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
