Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Cedar Falls, IA. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Role requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience. FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical or vocational nursing license in the applicable state.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and screening.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results per SOPs and center policy.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate with Center Physician for emergencies.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable and assist with EHS guidance.
