Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor eligibility and center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician. You will follow SOPs and BioLife Medical Affairs guidance to ensure safe, compliant donor care.

Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing lab results, and notifying donors of unsuitable findings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include nursing program. (state requirements).
• Currently licensed/certified as LPN or LVN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion.
• Manage donor adverse events and review related SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings.
• Provide center level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS).
• Support vaccination programs and incident management for staff.

Education
