CSL Plasma is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, provide limited emergency care, and conduct donor interviews with medical history reviews.

The role requires licensure/certification, at least 1 year healthcare experience, and preferred plasma center exposure. Expect collaboration with the Center Medical Director and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an emergency medical technician.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and provide information to staff on donor suitability.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms that may result in the inability to continue donating.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors to community facilities for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.

Formation

Paramedic/Nursing/Physician Assistant/Chiropractic/Medical school or naturopathic medical training program

Licensure/certification as an RN, MD or DO (for NY) or reciprocal state

Minimum of 1 year relevant healthcare experience

Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center or regulated environment (preferred)
