Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Lubbock, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance.

Requirements include EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. The role supports EHS and vaccination programs and reports to BioLife leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or nursing program credential.
• Licensed EMT-Paramedic in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, education, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations in the community.
