Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in Texas.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Must have completed FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history interview.
• Manage donor adverse events and respond to donor reactions.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.

Skills

Licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN)

Current CPR and AED certification

State-approved basic IV therapy training

Experience in a clinical or hospital setting

Education

High school diploma or equivalent or graduate-equivalent nursing program with state approval
