Job summary

Southern Hens Inc's Cook Plant is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor over Shipping for day shift operations. Experience in plant shipping, especially poultry or food processing, is preferred.

You will oversee shipping, loading inspections, and inventory reconciliation, while supervising warehouse staff and ensuring shipments are on time and accurate. The role emphasizes safety, training, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior Shipping experience in a plant setting preferred.
• Poultry or food processing shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping operations to ensure on-time shipments and proper budgeting.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with warehouse and shipping specs and safe use of space.
• Manage shipping notices, orders, invoices, and documents to prioritize and select correct shipping methods.
• Conduct daily inventory reconciliation and report damaged goods or discrepancies to management.
• Supervise warehouse/shipping staff and act as liaison between workers and management; ensure timely packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness; train new workers and monitor performance.
