Job summary

Mark Anthony Group in Columbia, SC is seeking a Plant Utilities Technician to operate, monitor, maintain and repair utility systems including boilers, chillers, RO units, and wastewater treatment. You will help minimize downtime and meet efficiency goals while following GMP and PPE protocols.

You will analyze data, perform lab tests, conduct routine and non-routine maintenance, manage parts in the CMMS, and collaborate with brewing and production teams to keep the manufacturing process running

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in chillers/boilers, CO2 recovery, RO systems, or related
• 1–3 years lab or operational wastewater treatment experience preferred
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment, chemistry, microbiology and analytic lab equipment
• Mathematics, mechanics, chemistry, biology, electrical and controls understanding
• Experience with pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, valves, and PRVs
• Proficient in MS Office, CMMS usage, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair steam boilers, glycol chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and related systems
• Analyze control data and ensure operations meet permit limits and efficiency goals
• Initiate corrective actions during outages, spills, or equipment issues
• Perform routine and advanced laboratory tests as needed
• Conduct wastewater and utility system analysis and quality checks
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot to minimize downtime
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and observations
• Coordinate with other teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing processes
