Job summary

Antora Energy seeks a Plant Technician II to operate thermal energy storage and boiler systems, and to support maintenance during installation, commissioning, and operations. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance to safely construct and run first-of-a-kind thermal battery installations.

You will be a key technical member of a growing team, contributing to demonstrations of long-duration energy storage tech with a strong safety culture and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational training.
• 3+ years of operations experience with control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLCs).
• Strong safety background with hazardous energy handling and waste materials.
• Hands-on with test equipment, calibration tools, and machinery repair.
• Knowledge of energy storage processes including boilers and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to perform inspections, startups/shutdowns, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, generators, and control systems.
• Solve complex technical problems with minimal oversight.
• Prioritize tasks within a trade or area and mentor others.
• Create and maintain SOPs using best practices.
• Perform hands-on diagnostics and rebuild large industrial machinery.
• Maintain high safety and regulatory compliance standards.
