Job summary

Procter & Gamble in North Chicago is seeking Plant Technicians to operate, maintain, and improve production equipment for dry and liquid chemical products. You will work with pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, tanks, piping, and Honeywell controls, advancing from entry level with mentorship and opportunities to expand into quality, safety, and process mastery.

This role requires independence, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Must follow required personal protective equipment and safety practices
• Must wear respirator when required and pass medical qualification
• Willing to work rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Follow process directions and control strategies
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems
• Maintain and improve site safety
• Provide ownership for a safety or quality system
• Own a zone by operating, maintaining, and improving it to meet targets
• Develop and execute a personal action plan
• Participate in improvement projects
• Work as part of a lean TPM environment
