Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Plant Technician in Poolville, TX. The role focuses on operating and maintaining facility equipment, performing routine rounds, and adhering to safety/environment regulations. Training on POSS/MASS may be required for testing and progression within the program.

You will document issues via CMMS, assist with procedures, and support additional duties as needed to ensure efficient plant operations. Shift work includes 12-hour rotations and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; trade/technical training preferred.
  • Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic PC skills for information processing and management.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain shift operating logs and records.
  • Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems.
  • Perform regular equipment rounds and report abnormal conditions.
  • Handle mechanical maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Assist in development of standard operating procedures.
  • Follow safe work practices and identify hazards.
  • Use CMMS to document deficiencies, schedule work and order materials.
  • Complete required plant training and assist in training others.
  • Unload, handle and transfer bulk chemicals and take samples for analysis.
