General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Second Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day Cincinnati production. As a key member of the production team, this individual will be responsible for all Cincinnati operations, feed quality and safety of staff members. This position is not part of a union; however, it requires regular interaction with union-represented employees and adherence to all applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) provisions

- A creative individual with experience in all aspects of a plant operation with an eye for efficient production methods and an understanding of best practices
- Prioritizing multiple tasks for the best production efficiencies

- Ability to efficiently manage production costs and align these costs to volume-produced
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and changing work environment
- Ability to implement and oversee company policy in regards to Feed Safety & worker safety
- Ability to be a self-starter who can problem solve in a fast-paced environment

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:- Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods for Cincinnati
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and locations
- Lead daily meetings concerning production, food safety, and human safety
- Maintain timecards and attendance records, as well as help maintain working personnel folders for each direct report with the Plant Manager
- Plan production schedule utilizing ERP system to coordinate activities of the employees and meet customer demands
- Work closely with the Location Manager on hiring, terminating, advising, training, and reviewing of employees
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and seek out solutions for those issues
- Maintain paperwork and logs, including anything pertaining to batch records
- Work with the FSQR team to conduct daily onsite quality tasks and utilize their help to enforce food and sanitation regulations
- Report material, product, or equipment defects/malfunctions, assure cleanliness and safety
- Demonstrate equipment operations, work, and safety procedures to new employees
- Work with Plant Manager to complete safety training, comply with safety rules and ensure the working environment is safe for all colleagues
- Observe work, and monitor all other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production, processing, and food safety standards
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and concerns
- Report all equipment, facility, personnel, safety, and other issues immediately
- Monitor incoming materials needed for production. Close jobs, create labels for production.
- Ensure compliance with all Food Safety Guidelines, Cincinnati work rules, Cincinnati Standard Operating Procedures, FDA and OSHA guidelines, as well as Federal and State laws governing the workplace
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits:- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $64,500 - $85,980. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
- This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
