Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a supervisor to lead the post-processing team in our Fontana, CA facility. You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality in concrete handling processes.

The role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, plus experience with data reporting and maintenance tasks. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical reasoning abilities.
  • Analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Experience using Tableau, Infor OS Cloud and Salesforce desired.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the post processing team.
  • Train and coach team members on daily responsibilities and process changes.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback to staff.
  • Operate and maintain concrete handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and produce daily production schedules, labels, and MO based on inventory and demand.
  • Communicate schedule changes with production and customer service.
  • Inspect product quality and adjust settings as needed.
  • Perform machine cleanup, setup, and related changeover tasks.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and quality issues to Plant Manager.
  • Maintain accurate daily production reporting and schedules.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Manage Mold Management system including setup, location, and life cycle of molds.
  • Determine and recommend new molds purchases.
  • Participate in quarterly finished goods inventory.
  • Communicate issues related to schedule, raw materials, or delays with site leaders.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the post processing team
  • Train and coach team members on daily responsibilities, procedures or process changes
  • Monitor performance of each team member and provide feedback
  • Operate and maintain concrete handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Prepare and produce daily production schedule, labels, MOs based on inventory and customer demand
  • Communicate schedule changes with production and customer service timely
  • Inspect the quality of products according to standards, and adjust settings as necessary
  • Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other functions associated with product changes
  • Detect and report any equipment malfunctions and quality issues to Plant Manager
  • Responsible for accurate daily production reporting and daily schedule control report
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repair
  • Manage and maintain Mold Management system, including setup, location, and life cycle of all molds
  • Determine and recommend purchase of new molds
  • Participate in quarterly finished goods inventory
  • Effectively communicate any issues related to schedule, raw materials, delivery delays, etc. with site leaders
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal, written, in-person and by telephone
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills
  • Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes, and protective glasses. Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment
  • Experience using Tableau, Infor OS Cloud and Salesforce Software preferred
  • Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred
Compensation
  • Pay Range: $24 - $30 p/h, based on experience
