Job summary

Commercial Metals Company seeks a seasoned operations leader to oversee daily plant activities at our Summerville, SC facility, including production, maintenance, quality, and shipping. You will drive safety, optimize resources, and guide a team to meet customer needs and production goals.

You will coach supervisors, manage labor and costs, implement improvements, and ensure quality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, concrete products, construction materials, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, maintenance practices, quality systems, and production planning.
  • Experience managing production performance, labor resources, and operating costs.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and employment regulations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.

  • Coordinate people, equipment, and resources to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Manage labor and operating costs while supporting production objectives
  • Oversee plant equipment, facilities, and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility
  • Coach, develop, and support supervisors and production employees
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational challenges and achieve plant goals
