Job summary

CMC provides an excellent opportunity to lead production and safety in our steel and construction reinforcement operations. You will oversee plant activities, mentor supervisors, and partner with the plant manager to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of concrete manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing production teams and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ability to obtain industry certifications (ACI, QCAST, VDOT, MSHA).
• Experience with concrete batch design preferred.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production, maintenance, quality, and safety activities across plant operations.
• Partner with the plant manager to implement safety programs, training, and compliance initiatives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for production supervisors and employees.
• Establish production goals, monitor performance, and implement improvements to meet operational objectives.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support preventive maintenance efforts.
• Monitor labor utilization, overtime, and operating expenses to support efficient plant performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
• Maintain high standards of workplace organization, housekeeping, and employee engagement.

• Experience managing production teams, equipment, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ability to obtain applicable industry certifications, including ACI, QCAST, VDOT, and MSHA.
• Experience with concrete batch design preferred.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and occasionally climb ladders, walk production areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
