Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel is seeking a Plant Superintendent for a complex chemical manufacturing operation in East Tennessee. The role leads daily 24/7 production with 85 employees, focusing on safety, reliability and continuous improvement, reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will develop teams, drive performance, and partner with maintenance and engineering to optimize equipment. A chemical engineering background and 10+ years of leadership in chemical processing are preferred; relocation

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in chemical manufacturing.
• Chemical Engineering degree preferred; other engineering or chemistry backgrounds considered.
• Strong experience in continuous chemical processing environments.
• Solid understanding of process safety, maintenance, and equipment reliability.
• Experience in ammonia, fertilizer, petrochemical, or related chemical operations is attractive.
• Leadership potential and ambition to grow into broader plant management responsibilities.

Compensation: $200,000 Base + 20% Bonus ($240,000 Target Cash)

Gateway Group Personnel is recruiting an experienced Plant Superintendent for a well-established global industrial manufacturer undergoing an exciting period of operational transformation.

The Operation

• Complex, continuous-process chemical manufacturing facility
• Approximately 85 employees
• 24/7 manufacturing operation
• Significant focus on process safety, equipment reliability, and operational excellence
• Reports directly to the Plant Manager
