Job summary

Maschmeyer Concrete (Redwing Materials LLC) seeks a Structural/Civil Engineer to support the construction and erection of a new slag grinding plant in Gibsonton, Florida. You will oversee structural and civil works during erection and may transition into a permanent plant engineering role after commissioning.

The role requires coordinating with contractors, reviewing drawings, and ensuring safety and quality. A strong background in industrial construction and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• At least 5 years in industrial manufacturing or heavy industrial construction.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Plant erection and commissioning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural and civil construction activities related to plant erection, including foundations, concrete works, steel structures, platforms and equipment supports.
• Coordinate with civil/structural contractors to ensure work is safe, on schedule and within budget.
• Review structural drawings, civil layouts, foundation plans, reinforcement details, and erection procedures.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with standards, design specs and project requirements.
• Support foundation setting, anchor bolt placement, grouting and alignment of major equipment bases.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure proper interfaces between civil, structural and equipment installations.
