PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking a Plant Shift Supervisor for the night shift at our Camden, NJ facility. The role oversees Chemical Operators and Plant Technicians to ensure safe, compliant batch processing and production goals.

Strong leadership and hands-on chemical experience are required for success on a fast-paced production line. Qualified candidates will have a degree in Engineering or Chemistry, at least 2 years in chemical batch processing, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical batch processing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Chemical Operators and Plant Technicians during assigned shifts.
• Add and monitor chemical dosages according to SOPs and recipes.
• Monitor batch processing activities for safe, efficient operations.
• Operate and oversee a permitted waste discharge facility.
• Maintain batch processing documentation and production records.
• Ensure product traceability and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in achieving production targets and departmental objectives.
• Train, coach, and direct employees in daily tasks.
• Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Plant Shift Supervisor (Night Shift)

Location: Camden, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday | 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Position Summary

A growing chemical processing facility is seeking an experienced Plant Shift Supervisor to support daily production operations during the night shift. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing Chemical Operators and Plant Technicians, ensuring safe and efficient batch processing operations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have hands-on chemical manufacturing experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Chemical Operators and Plant Technicians during assigned shifts.
• Add and monitor chemical dosages in accordance with established recipes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor batch processing activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Operate and oversee a permitted waste discharge facility.
• Maintain accurate batch processing documentation and production records.
• Ensure product traceability and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in achieving production targets and departmental objectives.
• Train, coach, and direct employees in daily job responsibilities.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical batch processing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to work a rotating night-shift schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ion-exchange systems.
• Waste treatment or wastewater treatment experience.
• Chemical manufacturing or process operations experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is based in a chemical processing plant and requires strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and around chemical processing equipment.
