Job summary

Airgas is recruiting a Plant Shift Supervisor in Columbia, SC to coordinate operations and lead plant staff in producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders. You will ensure safety, adherence to SOPs, and timely production targets in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, 2+ years in a supervisory capacity in distribution or manufacturing, familiarity with SAP, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (implied).
• Associate's or technical degree preferred.
• Leadership experience in a distribution or manufacturing setting valued.
• Experience with SAP and gas analysis equipment preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain plant operations safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety bulletins and SOPs.
• Operate equipment for repackaging and analyzing gases into cylinders.
• Maintain reports, paperwork and training records for the facility.
• Guide and support staff to meet customer needs following SOPs.
• Inspect and maintain filling equipment and monitoring devices.
