Job summary

Rehrig Pacific Company in Pleasant Prairie, WI seeks a Shift Manager to lead a manufacturing team during evenings or weekends. You will drive safety, training, hiring and onboarding, and continuous improvement while collaborating with reliability, quality, shipping, and planning teams.

You will coach staff, manage shift schedules, enforce 5S and food safety standards, monitor production metrics, and work with cross-functional partners to meet scorecard goals and production targets.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3+ years of experience managing people in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred 1+ years of injection molding experience.
• Excellent Leadership Skills including strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Technical aptitude – basic understanding of mechanical systems, tooling, & plastic manufacturing.
• Experience with JDE system a plus.
• The ability to interact with and train a diverse group of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and lead shift team members in accordance with our Core Values and Strategic Vision.
• Complete Day One Onboarding for all new employees in Spotlight.
• Utilize the skill matrix process for recognition that drives company values and retention.
• Complete quarterly KA reviews for all associates and detailed annual PEAs.
• Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance team capabilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment with open communication and teamwork.
• Ensure the team is staffed and skilled to meet score card goals and assist Talent Acquisition in recruitment and development.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and drive accountability for safety within the production team.
• Coordinate shift work schedules and engage staffing agencies as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor production performance indicators.
• Identify lead measures to improve scrap reduction and cycle efficiency.
