Job summary

Sora Resource Group seeks an experienced safety professional to support the tactical direction of a large heavy industrial manufacturing facility. You will be part of a small EHS team, reporting to the plant EHS Manager, driving continuous improvement of health and safety processes on site.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety programs, conducting audits, training, incident investigations, workers' compensation, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of safety experience in manufacturing operations.
• Experience in heavy industrial settings (steel, metals, automotive, aerospace) is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field.

Job description

This position will support the tactical direction of the program for a large heavy industrial manufacturing facility. Member of a (3) person EHS Department and will report to the plant EHS Manager. Responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the health & safety process for the site. Develop and implement safety systems and programs, audits, training, accident investigations, workers compensation, emergency response and related activities. Basic environmental compliance experience is desired but not required.

Engaged, hands-on and collaborative safety professional that will move forward leading culture change through employee engagement and accountability. Must have a metric-driven approach with the ability to use that data to deliver positive results and continue growing to higher levels within safety.
