Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced safety professional to support a large heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Tennessee.

The role reports to the plant EHS Manager and focuses on driving continuous improvement of health and safety processes on site through hands-on leadership and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industry, and hold a Bachelor of Science in a related technical field.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3+ years of safety experience within manufacturing operations, ideally heavy industrial environments such as steel, metals, automotive, or aerospace.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field is required.
• Relocation assistance will be offered if needed.

• Drive continuous improvement of the health & safety processes for the site.
• Develop and implement safety systems and programs, audits, training, and investigations.
• Handle workers' compensation, emergency response and related activities; ensure environmental compliance awareness.

Job description

This position will support the tactical direction of the program for a large heavy industrial manufacturing facility. Member of a (3) person EHS Department and will report to the plant EHS Manager. Responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the health & safety process for the site. Develop and implement safety systems and programs, audits, training, accident investigations, workers compensation, emergency response and related activities. Basic environmental compliance experience is desired but not required.

Engaged, hands-on and collaborative safety professional that will move forward leading culture change through employee engagement and accountability. Must have a metric-driven approach with the ability to use that data to deliver positive results and continue growing to higher levels within safety.
