Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Wisconsin seeks a diligent Security Guard to maintain a safe, secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. You will monitor activity, control facility access, conduct routine rounds, and support shipping and receiving duties while following company policies.

Ideal candidates read, write and speak English, have a high school diploma or GED, and can work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to remain calm and communicate under stressful situations.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and frequently navigate stairs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and maintain security throughout the facility.
• Conduct hourly security rounds, including verifying trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gate security and access points.
• Monitor and document all associates, visitors, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Operate weight master scales and accurately weigh trailers entering and leaving the plant.
• Answer and direct incoming switchboard calls after business hours.
• Bill outgoing loads and maintain required shipping documentation.
• Follow, enforce, and help implement company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
