Job summary

Flagstone Foods in El Paso, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Technician I to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality, safety, and GMP policies. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain the plant, monitor inventory, and support crossing shifts for continuity.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with duties spanning cleaning, sanitation, and equipment care. This position is on-site with 2nd shift responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months experience in a manufacturing work environment.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of and compliance with Company Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate efficiently, orally and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Communicate with others both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; cleaning and vacuuming drapes, furniture, and carpeting; resupplying rest rooms.
• Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up papers and trash.
• Removes trash by emptying trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials.
• Keeps cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines.
• Maintains parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts; anticipating cleaning equipment replacement; placing orders.
• Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions, noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring.
• File work orders for equipment/building and common area repairs as needed.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of adverse water events, i.e., roof leaks, drain leaks.
• Assist in Bloodborne pathogen cleaning/sanitizing.
• Monitor and replenish Sanitizer mats/stations around the plant as needed with Boost FT Sanitizer.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
