Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is hiring a Plant Sanitarian for our Livingston, CA site. This on-site role requires someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment and who prioritizes quality and safety in daily sanitation tasks.

You will work with hazardous chemicals, follow sanitation schedules, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams across shifts. On-site five days a week with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sanitation experience with hazardous chemicals.
• Documentation of tasks completed per the master sanitation schedule.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work up to 30 ft high.
• Lift 50 lbs and work in tight, wet, hot, humid spaces.
• Work well independently and as part of a team.
• Assemble/disassemble equipment with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work different shifts or extended hours.
• Ability to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and operate forklift/Genie Boom/scissor lift.
• Operate power washer and floor scrubber; reach under equipment.

We are hiring a Plant Sanitarianin Livingston, CA. What you’ll do

• Perform hands-on sanitation tasks including the cleaning of equipment and other areas of the facility
• Identify and communicate process issues or risks to help improve operations
• Follow standardized work instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Support and contribute to cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the work area
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities with leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems and procedures
• Adapt to various shifts and respond to overtime requests when needed and perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience to work with hazardous chemicals
• Experience in documenting completion of tasks per respective master sanitation schedule
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as well as work in places up to 30' high
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in tight, wet, hot, humid and confined spaces
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
• A flexible mindset with the willingness to work different shifts or extended hours
• The Capacity to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures, drive a forklift, Genie Boom and scissor lift
• Skills to operate a power washer and floor scrubber
• Ability to twist and bend down to reach under and between equipment

The pay for this position is $22.02/hour.Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
