Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Swing Shift Maintenance Mechanic III to join the operations team in Turlock, CA. You will perform a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance on processing equipment in a wet and dry manufacturing environment, contributing to safe and efficient plant operations.

The role requires at least 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including troubleshooting of engines, motors, pumps, HVAC, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including engines, motors (480V 3 phase), pneumatic tools, pumps, HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, welding and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative mechanical maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Use measuring instruments to locate problems and replace defective parts.
• Troubleshoot and communicate issues with equipment to coworkers and vendors.
• Perform complex repairs to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and gas-fired equipment.

We are looking for a swing shift Maintenance Mechanic III to join our team and be a vital member of the operations team. You will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair activities in both mechanical and electrical disciplines on processing equipment in a wet and dry manufacturing environment. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of our facility. If you enjoy working on a variety of tasks in your day-to-day then Sensient is for you!

What you’ll do:

• Perform preventative mechanical maintenance on machinery and equipment as well as emergency repairs and follow plant safety and environmental guidelines while completing daily tasks to ensure both you and your colleagues are kept safe
• Utilize measuring and testing instruments to locate sources of problems, remove defective parts and adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Troubleshoot and complete complex repairs to equipment while effectively communicating problem with equipment to fellow employees and/or vendors
• Perform complex repairs to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatical, and natural gas fired equipment to ensure plant is operating at peak efficiency

What you’ll bring:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing performing maintenance and electrical repairs on equipment
• The ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including engines, motors (480V 3 phase), pneumatic tools, pumps, HVAC equipment and production machines
• An understanding of basic hydraulics, electrical, welding and HVAC equipment
• An interest in learning how to use and maintain new equipment
• Adaptability to do different activities each day with strong attention to detail

The hourly wage range for this position is $37.00 - 48.00 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
