Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five years’ professional safety experience in manufacturing industry or construction.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the working environment of production employees to ensure safety and policy adherence.
• Maintain open communication with production leadership regarding safety concerns.
• Ensure personnel are trained in OSHA and company safety programs.
• Conduct regular plant safety audits and document deviations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety data sheets and regulatory compliance across the plant.
• Investigate injuries, identify root causes, and communicate findings to management.
• Oversee first responder team for first aid/CPR and coordinate medical follow-up.
• Report work-related injuries to workers' compensation administrator and follow up.
