Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing safety experience, strong OSHA/Cal-OSHA knowledge, and excellent communication and coaching skills. Expect hands-on leadership, data-driven reporting, and collaboration with operations; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field preferred; professional safety certifications (ASP, CSS, OSHM) acceptable.
• Minimum 5 years safety/health experience in manufacturing setting; strong regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety, health, workers' compensation, and security programs; drive compliance and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, QA, HR and leadership to integrate safety into daily workflows.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions; manage incident tracking.
• Develop and review JHAs, safe work procedures, LOTO, and safety documentation.
• Deliver safety training; coach supervisors and employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Manage site security operations, access control, and surveillance; coordinate with HR for investigations.
